Sherese said she had moved on.

But she still replayed the last argument with Omari.

She wasn’t waiting for him back.

She was waiting for him to admit he hurt her.

That apology felt like closure.

Weeks turned into months.

One night she journaled:

“If he never apologizes, do I stay stuck?”

That question broke something open.

She realized she didn’t need his accountability to free herself.

Letting go meant accepting
that some endings never explain themselves.
