Ashaun didn’t see it as toxic.
Camryn would just “correct” him.
How he spoke.
How he dressed.
How he told stories.
“It’s just constructive,” she’d say.
But the corrections turned into control.
He stopped wearing certain colors.
Stopped posting online.
Stopped sharing opinions in front of her friends.
The relationship didn’t explode.
It tightened.
The moment he realized something was wrong wasn’t during a fight.
It was when he hesitated before being himself.
That hesitation was the red flag.
